Dhilly Game 5 was known as the definitive Dhilly Game for years, as it came out in May of 2021. This is one month after Dhilly Game 4, four months after Dhilly Game 1, and over 2 years before Dhilly Game 6.
As you can imagine the game had a long time to enter people's hearts, and enter people's hearts it did, many people from the "Dhillers" friend group and Eve and Stan's schools enjoyed this game greatly.
While Dhilly Game 6 was the first Dhilly Game to receive major attention in the Pxls community, the user "can" famously played this game on Christmas Day of 2022.
Gameplay[]
Following Dhilly's betrayal in Dhilly Game 4, Square is on a mission to prevent Dhilly from leaving the universe, knowing this will end in tragedy. Square has to collect several Dhilly pieces in order to catch up to Dhilly on his way to the universe's exit. On his way, he can collect "Faded Dhilly pieces" to use the game's "SAVE" function, a Dhilly Game first. In the final level, a Celeste-like mechanic is introduced to help Square catch up to Dhilly.

Canonical release - Dhilly Game 5[]
Dhilly Game 5
The original Dhilly Game 5 for the Gameboy Color. There are two releases, which handle being out of bounds on the final level differently. The first takes you to the beginning of the level, the second drags you upward. Patch 1.01 a failed version of the second release. It freezes at after Square enters the boat.
Patch 1.1[]
Over 1 year after the original release of Dhilly Game 5, Dhilly Game 6 was still being made and 5 was the 'go-to' release of Dhilly Game. This led LenEnjoyer to make a Dhilly Game 5 patch, fixing the various problems people had, including:
- Text being easier to read
- Autosaving
- The final level being much less buggy
- A song
- New Dhilly dialogue, as requested by StanDX
- Improved graphics in some areas
It was called "Patch 1.1", following the pattern of previous game updates. While some of the improvements were general fixes, others, were only made possible thanks to updating from GB Studio 2 to GB Studio 3, meaning a lot of the game is remade, and slightly different. It could be called "more-refined".
